CHURCH FOUNDATION SCRIPTURE

Isaiah 61:1-3 — The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me because the Lord has anointed me to preach the good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn…

OUR BELIEFS

We believe the Holy Scriptures consist of the Old and New Testaments, that they are the Divinely inspired Word of God.

We believe in one Creator God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and is true God and true man; that he died for our sins, bodily rose from the dead, and ascended into heaven where He now reigns as our High Priest waiting to return personally to earth in power and glory.

We believe each person has a sinful nature; is, therefore, lost and needs to be saved, by grace, through faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

We believe in the work of the person of the Holy Spirit in the new birth, indwelling the believer, causing him to grow into the likeness of Christ and filling him with power to live a Godly life and bear witness of Jesus Christ.

We believe in the union of all true believers as one body in Christ.

We believe that the Body of Christ is divinely commissioned to proclaim Jesus Christ as the only Savior, to proclaim His death for our sins, to proclaim His resurrection, and to make disciples of all who will repent of their sins and follow Him.

We believe in the perpetual and continuing ecclesiastical value of all spiritual gifts for the edification of the Body of Christ until the end of the Church Age, which will consummate by the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 4:11-13. I Corinthians 12-14; Romans 12)

We believe God is priority; the family is our responsibility.

We believe we should create an environment where everybody has a sense of belonging including the one who makes us all.

We believe in the authenticity of the work of the Holy Spirit.

We believe nothing can have you bound whereby the Word of God can’t set you free.

We believe in reaching out to cause an inward change in the lives of people, our community and our world.
